Through our salon's iPad application, our staff may record: your name, phone number(s), address, birthday, gender, and photo; your appointment, service and package history; bills, payments and quotations; membership and wallet information; and notes recorded by staff, including notes dictated by voice.

We do not collect an email address through this app.

This website itself does not collect personal information through forms — it publishes information about our salon and services only.

We use the information above solely to operate the salon: scheduling and managing appointments, billing, tracking service and package history, and communicating with clients about their bookings.

Client information is stored primarily on the salon's iPad, on the device itself. At our discretion, it may also be backed up to our own Dropbox account for safekeeping, as described below.

When we choose to back up salon data, a copy of client, staff and business records — including photos — is uploaded to our own Dropbox account. This backup is not automatic or continuous; it happens only when a staff member initiates it.

We do not maintain a separate, developer-controlled copy of this data. The backup stays within our own Dropbox account, protected in transit and at rest by Dropbox's own security measures.

Our app can convert notes dictated by staff into text using Apple's Speech Recognition. Where the device supports it, this transcription happens entirely on the device. Where on-device recognition is not available, the audio may be processed by Apple's speech recognition service to produce the text.

Our app can hand off a message or document (such as a bill or appointment confirmation) to WhatsApp or your device's share options at a staff member's request. The app itself does not transmit information to WhatsApp — a person chooses whether, and what, to send.

We retain information for as long as needed for salon operations and applicable legal or business record-keeping requirements. We do not currently commit to a fixed retention period.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, contact us at salonbybabita@gmail.com. Requests are handled manually by our staff. We do not currently offer an automated in-app deletion tool.

Our salon services are available to minors. Where a minor's personal information is collected or processed, parental or guardian consent is required, and privacy requests concerning a minor's information are handled through the minor's parent or guardian.

Certain sensitive screens in our app are protected by app-level access controls. We take reasonable steps to protect information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

We handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection laws, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, to the extent applicable.

This app does not use advertising or analytics tracking, and does not share information with advertisers.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
